What is this survey?
The State of AI for Lincolnshire Business 2027 is an independent report tracking how businesses across the county are engaging with artificial intelligence: where they are today, what is holding them back, and where the opportunities lie.
The purpose is straightforward: to understand how aligned Lincolnshire businesses are with national trends, and to surface the real wins and concerns within our local business community. That picture helps us, and other organisations, to plan support that is actually useful, and to help businesses move from uncertainty into confident, practical growth with AI.
Who should take part?
We welcome responses from any small or medium-sized business in Lincolnshire. We do ask you to tell us your business size by number of employees, so we can compare like with like across the results.
Our main focus is businesses with between 10 and 150 paid employees, but we will not turn anyone away outside that range. Every response strengthens the picture.
Who benefits from the findings?
Anyone can use this data. If you are uncertain about AI, the findings can help you see how businesses similar to yours are approaching it, which can turn vague concern into a clearer sense of what is actually useful and what is not.
Beyond individual businesses, the report is designed to be useful to training providers, colleges and universities, and local government, giving them a sharper view of where the gaps are, so their support lands where it is needed most.
How long does it take?
About 5 minutes. There are up to 17 short questions, shown one at a time, and you only see the ones that apply to you. The first five are required; you can skip any of the rest. If you prefer, you can show all the questions on one page instead.
What do you get for taking part?
Everyone who completes the survey gets early access to the full report before it is publicly released.
If you choose to become a named contributor, we will also mention your business within the report itself and feature your participation on the Lincolnshire.AI website: a relevant mention for businesses that want to be seen as forward-thinking in their sector. Only your business name is shown, never your answers.
When does the report come out?
The survey for this edition closes on 31 December 2026.
The report is sent to all contributors in the first week of February 2027, before it is publicly released, giving time to discuss the findings with anyone who wants to work out how to benefit from them.
Your answers and your privacy
Results are only ever published as combined figures. If you give us your name and email address so we can send you the report, those details are stored separately from your answers and used only for what you asked. Read the survey section of our privacy notice for the full detail.
